With the workshop (12-15 March 2018) titled “United by Talent” the Egyptian Academy in Rome under the direction of Professor Gihane Zaki, has created a cultural bridge on the Mediterranean, giving life to a dialogue (so dear to SpoletoMeetingArt). Art as a tool and an indispensable vehicle for communicating thoughts and emotions, for expressing and sharing ideas, to enrich contents with one’s own cultural background. A bridge, which connects two opposite parts of the Mediterranean and in the middle there is a beating heart the Academy of Egypt in Rome, which has invited, for the month of women, artists of the Egyptian and Italian cultural artistic scene, with their work, they contribute to open paths for a renewed culture. These are the artists:
Akila RIAD Egyptian painter of great fame in Egypt and in the Arab world, known for her inspiration in the history of Egyptian art. Akila’s strong personality has always been useful in the field of all artistic commissions in Egypt. Lately he has achieved great success with Luxor’s International Symposium, and has also contributed to the experience of the outstanding of the Borollos Art Festival. The artist’s compositions reproduce the typically Egyptian figures in new forms.
Asmaa EL NAWAWY Egyptian artist active in the Egyptian artistic scene. Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cairo. She has won numerous prizes, despite her young age. Asmaa, and her stay in Italy offered her an important confrontation with her Italian and European counterparts. His works often portray female figures raising different and important challenges of today’s society.
Nazli MADKOUR A name that inspires creativity and elegance in the artistic field not only Egyptian but international. His works reflect nature in an innovative and original way. Nazli Madkour’s painting oscillates between abstractionism and personification, making a decisive contribution to the renewal of Egyptian painting. Nazli studied at the American University of Cairo and held about fifty personal exhibitions as well as having participated in numerous exhibitions in different European capitals, with an important page in Paris.
Isabella TIRELLI She teaches painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, is considered one of the most active academically, but at the same time operating in the international scene. Isabella Tirelli has participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, even reaching Luxor. Architect and painter, Isabella Tirelli works by combining different technologies combined with painting techniques that derive from the great Italian painting of the Renaissance. Soul and science is its formula, which in its interactive installations translates into the involvement of the viewer as an “active” part of the work itself.
Paola BIADETTI Roman artist and graphics, with more than forty exhibitions and personal exhibitions. His paintings are found in private collections in Italy, England, Germany, China, Mexico, Belize, Serbia. His name is very linked to Spoleto Art Festival, in the role of Marketing Director, Artistic Director of Spoleto Meeting Art and Graphic Director and Communication of Twenty-year Young European Magazine, alongside that of Luca Filipponi (President) and Angelo Sagnelli (Artistic Director Award Literature), who are carrying out an important work that aims to bring artists from the two shores of the Mediterranean to Europe, of which Egypt and Italy are benefiting.
Stefania LUBRANI Painter and sculptor, she is a well-known Italian face, also very close to art and music. He has participated in exhibitions in Italy but also beyond the borders, in European capitals. In 2008 he participated in the Cairo Biennial, and since then Ste fania has opened a beautiful page of cooperation between Egypt and Italy that is consolidating day after day, and despite the contrary winds has always raised the flag of art. Stefania Lubrani participated in the exhibition of Food art which was held in memory of the great Carmine Siniscalco in November 2017 at the Egyptian Academy in Rome.
Under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture S.E. Ines Abdel Dayem, in the presence of the Ambassador S.E. Dalia Badr, and numerous guests, including Prof. Luca Filipponi, President of the Spoleto Art Festival who sponsored the seminar, together with the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, the Director of the Academy Prof. Gihane Zaki presented the work of the workshop, ending the evening in a Jazz atmospheres with the band “Cosimo & the hot coals” in the frame of the works of the artist “Unite dal Talent”, commenting as follows: “The professionalism of these artists, their great enthusiasm and the profound trust they placed in cultural and artistic dialogue for a better future made this a very special occasion. The month of the woman was celebrated in the best way with this beautiful group, which represented a great chance for cultural exchange, between artists, women, an exchange of experiences rich in humanity ”

Con il workshop (12-15 Marzo 2018) dal titolo “Unite dal Talento” l’Accademia d’Egitto a Roma sotto la Direzione della Professoressa Gihane Zaki, ha creato un ponte culturale sul mediteranneo, dando vita ad un dialogo (tanto caro allo SpoletoMeetingArt). L’arte come strumento e veicolo indispensabile per comunicare pensieri ed emozioni, per esprimere e condividere idee, per arricchire di contenuti il proprio bagaglio culturale. Un ponte, che collega due parti opposte del mediterraneo e al centro c’è un cuore pulsante l’Accademia d’Egitto in Roma, che ha invitato, per il mese della donna, artiste del panorama artistico culturale egiziano e italiano, che con il loro lavoro, contribuiscono ad aprire sentieri per una cultura rinnovata. Akila RIAD Pittrice egiziana di grande fama in Egitto e nel mondo arabo, conosciuta per la sua ispirazione alla storia dell’Arte Egiziana. La forte personalità di Akila è sempre stata utile nel campo di tutte le commissioni artistiche in Egitto. Ultimamente ha conseguito un grande successo con l’International Symposium di Luxor, e ha contribuito anche all’esperienza dell’outstanding del Festival Artistico di Borollos. Le composizioni dell’artista ripropongono in nuove forme le figure tipicamente egiziane.
Asmaa EL NAWAWY Artista egiziana attiva nel panorama artistico egiziano. Docente all’Accademia di Belle Arti del Cairo. Si è aggiudicata numerosi premi, nonostante la sua giovane età. Asmaa, e il suo soggiorno in Italia la ha offerto un confronto importante con i suoi omologhi italiani ed europei. Le sue opere ritraggono spesso figure femminili sollevando diverse e importanti sfide della società odierna.
Nazli MADKOUR Un nome che ispira creatività ed eleganza nel campo artistico non solo egiziano ma internazionale. Le sue opere riflettono la natura in modo innovativo ed originale. La pittura di Nazli Madkour oscilla tra astrattismo e personificazione, dando un contributo decisivo al rinnovamento della pittura egiziana. Nazli ha studiato presso l’Università Americana del Cairo e ha tenuto una cinquantina di mostre personali oltre ad aver partecipato a numerose mostre in diverse capitali europee, con una pagina importante a Parigi.
Isabella TIRELLI Insegna pittura all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, è considerata una delle più attive accademicamente, ma allo stesso tempo operante nel panorama internazionale. Isabella Tirelli ha partecipato a numerose mostre in Italia e all’estero, giungendo anche fino a Luxor. Architetto e pittrice, Isabella Tirelli lavora combinando diverse tecnologie abbinate a tecniche pittoriche che derivano dalla grande pittura italiana del Rinascimento. Soul and science è la sua formula, che nelle sue installazioni interattive si traduce nel coinvolgimento dello spettatore come parte “attiva” del lavoro stesso.
Paola BIADETTI Artista e grafica romana, con più di quaranta mostre ed esposizioni personali. I suoi dipinti si trovano in collezioni private in Italia, Inghilterra, Germania, Cina, Messico,Belize, Serbia. Il suo nome è molto legato allo Spoleto Art Festival, nel ruolo di Direttore Marketing, Direttore Artistico dello Spoleto Meeting Art e Direttore grafico e comunicazione del ventennale Magazine Giovani Europei, accanto a quello di Luca Filipponi (Presidente) e Angelo Sagnelli (Direttore Artistico Premio Letteratura), i quali stanno svolgendo un importante lavoro che mira ad avvicinare artisti delle due sponde del Mediterrraneo all’Europa, di cui l’Egitto e l’Italia stanno beneficiando.
Stefania LUBRANI Pittrice e scultrice, è un volto italiano noto, molto legata anche all’arte e alla musica. Ha partecipato ad esposizioni in Italia ma anche oltre i confini, nelle capitali europee. Nel 2008 ha partecipato alla Biennale del Cairo, e da allora Ste fania ha aperto una bella pagina di cooperazione tra l’Egitto e l’Italia che sta consolidando giorno dopo giorno, e malgrado i venti contrari ha sempre alzato la bandiera dell’arte. Stefania Lubrani ha partecipato alla mostra di Food art che si è tenuta in memoria del grande Carmine Siniscalco nel novembre 2017 all’Accademia d’Egitto a Roma.
Sotto gli auspici del ministero della Cultura Egiziana S.E. Ines Abdel Dayem, alla presenza dell’Ambasciatrice S.E. Dalia Badr, e di numerosi ospiti intervenuti, tra i quali il Prof. Luca Filipponi Presidente dello Spoleto Art Festival che ha patrocinato il seminario, unitamente all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, la Direttrice dell’Accademia Prof.ssa Gihane Zaki ha presentato i lavori del workshop, concludendo la serata in un’atmosferra Jazz con la band “Cosimo & the hot coals” nella cornice delle opere dell’artiste “Unite dal Talento”, commentandolo così:” La professionalità di queste artiste ,il loro grande entusiasmo e la profonda fiducia che hanno messo nel dialogo culturale ed artistico per un futuro migliore hanno reso quest’occasione davvero speciale. Il mese della donna è stato festeggiato così, nel migliore dei modi con questa bella collettiva,che ha rappresentato una grande chance per lo scambio culturale, tra artiste, donne, uno scambio di esperienze ricco di umanità ”
